[origin: WO8901248A1] The invention concerns a connector, such as a cathode ray tube support for a television set, designed to protect the contacts during storage, transport and handling. Figure 1 is a partial cross-section of one embodiment of the connector in the final production stage. The connector comprises a contact-holder housing (1) associated with a part (3) forming a sole-plate conformed with the overall shape of the housing. The sole-plate includes internal recesses (11) the number of which is equal to that of the output contacts (12), which protect and guide the latter. Application of pressure to the housing perpendicular to the printed circuit (4) causes the parts (1) and (3) to slide towards and past each other to the predetermined length of the output contacts. This result is achieved by co-operation of guiding means and ratchets integral respectively with the housing (5, 7, 8) and the sole-plate (9, 10, 10') with holes provided for this purpose in the printed circuit.

L'invention a pour objet un connecteur tel qu'un support de tube cathodique pour récepteur de télévision, prévu pour assurer la protection des contacts durant le stockage, le transport et la manutention. La figure 1 représente en coupe partielle une forme de réalisation de ce connecteur au stade final de fabrication. Ce connecteur comprend un boîtier (1) porte-contacts associé à une pièce (3) formant semelle épousant la forme générale du boîtier. La semelle inclut des logements internes (11), en nombre égal à celui des sorties de contact (12), qui assurent à la fois la protection et le guidage de celles-ci. Une pression exercée sur le boîtier perpendiculairement au circuit imprimé (4) détermine un coulissement relatif des pièces (1) et (3) provoquant l'affleurement puis le dépassement à la longueur prédéterminée des sorties de contact (12). Ce résultat est obtenu grâce à la coopération de moyens de guidage et d'encliquetage solidaires respectivement du boîtier (5, 7, 8) et de la semelle (9, 10, 10') avec des trous pratiqués dans le circuit imprimé à cet effet.
