[origin: EP0338144A1] An apparatus for cleaning and straightening a tubular article, such as a tube or support post of scaffolding used in building construction work, comprises a straightening unit (2), a plurality of feed-roller units (3, 4, 5, 6) disposed upstream and downstream of the straightening unit (2), and a cleaning unit (7) disposed downstream of the straightening unit (2). The feed roller units (3, 4, 5, 6) press and crack any concrete on the outer peripheral surface of the tubular article and the straightening unit (2) restores a bent tubular article into a straight form by swaying the article eccentrically. The cracked concrete left on the article is further broken into smaller pieces and is removed from the article by the cleaning unit (7).
