The invention relates to a machine for paint spraying, in particular motor vehicles. The machine is provided with at least one spray unit, for example a spray gun, and a drive device for the latter. The drive device consists of a plurality of explosion-proof electric motors which permit the spray unit to be moved linearly along two spatial axes and to be rotated about two spatial axes. The individual electric motors can be driven independently of one another according to a desired program. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine frei programmierbare Konturmaschine zum Farbspritzen insbesondere von Kraftfahrzeugen. Die Maschine ist mit wenigstens einem Spritzgerät (53), z.B. einer Spritzpistole und einer Antriebseinrichtung für die letztere versehen. Die Antriebseinrichtung besteht aus mehreren explosionsgeschützten Elektromotoren (30, 39, 45, 54), die es ermöglichen, das Spritzgerät (53) linear längs von zwei Raumachsen zu bewegen und um zwei Raumachsen zu drehen. Die einzelnen Elektromotore (30, 39, 45, 54) können unabhängig voneinander nach einem gewünschten Programm angesteuert werden.
