Abstract (en)
The system consists in using, in order to generate the desired magnetic field, a set of solenoids (103) towed in parallel behind a minesweeper (101). These solenoids have relatively small dimensions and are supplied (104) by variable currents which enable the passage of a ship to be simulated, this simulated passage being likely to cause the magnetically-triggered mines to explode. It makes it possible to carry out efficient magnetic minesweeping with less equipment. <IMAGE>
