The device comprises a lock mechanism with a rotary member (15') driving eccentrically a link-rod (19') applied against a span (23') of a contact-holder (21') rocking about a fixed pin and carrying the moving contact (29'), means capable of being actuated by a breaker means (9') and comprising at least one piece (38') articulated on the contact-holder (21') on a pin (39') which is eccentric in relation to the axis of rotation of the contact-holder (21'), which piece (38') interacts with the end (24'), of the link-rod (19'), in contact with the span (23') to provide for the escape of the said end (24') away from the span (23') of the contact-holder (21') in the closed contact position when the said breaker means (9') is actuated. <IMAGE>
