[origin: WO8804976A1] A clamping device for portable grinding machines has a back flange (18) axially movable on the spindle (10) but able to transmit torque, and of being relieved of the clamping pressure for the grinding wheel (17) by means of an annular piece (25). The annular piece (25) comprises a nut (26) that rests on a tapered shoulder (28) of the spindle (10) and can be blocked during rotation in order to be removed by means of an outer stopping device (38), so that when the grinding wheel (17) is turned anti-clockwise with the spindle (10), the nut (26) moves axially away from the bearing flange (26), unclamping the latter. A torsion spring (30) capable of resetting back the nut (26) is arranged between the nut (26) and the bearing flange (18). With this clamping device it is possible to exchange the grinding wheel quickly, safely and without any tools.
