The invention relates to a transport container (1) having a protection element which is arranged laterally on both sides of the container shell in the longitudinal direction of the transport container (1) as a strip of a certain width (Fig. 1). The protection element is constructed as a multi-layer bandage (6) which is held on the longitudinal sides of the transport container (1) and is fixed in each case at the end faces of the transport container (1). Due to the good absorption capacity and great deformability, the transport container (1) is largely protected from violent loads which act in the region of the multi-layer bandage (6). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Transportbehälter (1) mit einer Behälterschutzeinrichtung, die beidseitig seitlich am Behältermantel in Längsrichtung des Transportbehälters (1) als Band bestimmter Breite angeordnet ist (Fig. 1). Die Behälterschutzeinrichtung ist als Mehrschichtbandage (6) ausgebildet, die an den Längsseiten des Transportbehälters (1) gehalten und jeweils an den Stirnseiten des Transportbehälters (1) festgelegt ist. Durch die gute Absorptionsfähigkeit und große Verformungsfähigkeit wird der Transportbehälter (1) weitgehend vor Gewaltbeanspruchungen, die im Bereich der Mehrschichtbandage (6) einwirken, geschützt.
