In order to make it possible to tension a foil, clamped to the end by means of two clamping rails, on a back-up cylinder (4) having gripper mounting strips (3), at the start of printing, whilst at the same time ensuring that the tensioning elements take up the least amount of space, eccentric bolts (11) equipped with a clamping spiral (12) are rotatably mounted as tensioning elements in the gripper mounting strips (3) so as to penetrate transversely into these. The clamping spiral (12) of the eccentric bolts (11) rests from above in a self-locking manner on an engagement surface (13) of one clamping rail (7) arranged underneath the gripper mounting strips (3), so that during the rotation of the eccentric bolts (11) the clamping rail (7) is movable radially downwards into the cylinder interior jointly with the second clamping rail (8), guided in a recess (9) behind the pit wall (6) of the back-up cylinder (4), and the end of the foil (1). <IMAGE>

Um das Spannen einer mittels zweier Klemmschienen am Ende geklemmter Folie auf einem Greiferaufschlagsleisten (3) aufweisenden Gegendruckzylinder (4) am Druckanfang bei geringstem Platzbedarf für die Spannelemente zu ermöglichen, sind als Spannelemente in den Greiferaufschlagleisten (3) in diese quer eindringend mit einer Klemmspirale (12) versehene Exzenterbolzen (11) drehbar gelagert. Die Klemmspirale (12) der Exzenterbolzen (11) liegt auf einer Eingriffsfläche (13) der einen unterhalb der Greiferaufschlagleisten (3) angeordneten Klemmschiene (7) selbsthemmend von oben auf, so daß beim Drehen der Exzenterbolzen (11) die Klemmschiene (7) gemeinsam mit der in einer Aussparung (9) hinter der Grubenwand (6) des Gegendruckzylinders (4) geführten zweiten Klemmschiene (8) und dem Ende der Folie (1) radial nach unten in das Zylinderinnere bewegbar ist.
