[origin: EP0339430A1] The invention relates to a device for feeding articles of clothing to a mangle or the like, with a driven conveyor (1) which precedes the mangle or the like and in the region of the front end of which is arranged a laying-on strip (2) which can be moved out from under the front end of an article of clothing laid on it, in order to deposit the front end of the article of clothing on the conveyor (1), after which the article of clothing is conveyed in the direction of the mangle or the like, characterised by a lifting device (3) which brings about an additional vertical up-and-down movement of the laying-on strip (2) after the front end of an article of clothing has been laid onto it.
