Mechanic's stool with an undercarriage which possesses a central vertical column which receives a frame which is vertically adjustable with respect to the column and carries, to one side of the column, at the top end a chest support and a rest situated below this, whereas the undercarriage possesses a step on the side remote from the chest support in relation to the column. In order to permit a slight straightening-up from the bent-forward posture and to relieve the back, the chest support consists of a vertical plate which is fastened to the frame and can pivot elastically, while supporting the chest, into a substantially horizontal position. <IMAGE>

Monteurstuhl mit einem Fahrgestell (1), das eine mittlere vertikale Säule (6) aufweist, die ein hierzu höhenverstellbares Gestell (8) aufnimmt, das zu einer Seite der Säule hin am oberen Ende eine Brustauflage (12) und eine darunter befindliche Ablage (10) trägt, während das Fahrgestell an der der Brustauflage abgewandten Seite bezüglich der Säule einen Fußtritt (7) aufweist. Um ein leichtes Aufrichten aus der vornübergebeugten Haltung zu ermöglichen und den Rücken zu entlasten, besteht die Brustauflage aus einer an dem Gestell befestigten, vertikalen, unter Auflage der Brust elastisch in eine im wesentlichen horizontale Stellung schwenkbaren Platte.
