Abstract (en)

The apparatus is composed of rollers of axis (a), (d), (e), (b) and (c) which are horizontal and parallel and are supported between two rails (20) and (21) mounted on feet and assembled by the cross-members (27), (28), (29). The grading is effected by the diverging translational motion of the conveying wire, guided by grooves, from the roller of axis (a) to the roller of axis (b). The wire is wound in two sets of turns circling alternately, one the rollers of axis (a), (d), (e), (b) and the other the latter rollers plus the roller (c). Looped over itself and held taut by the screws (54), the wire forms three layers and intersects without touching. On the rollers of axis (d) and (e), the grooves are off-centred in order to cause the wire to oscillate and to facilitate the grading, the graded product being recovered in receptacles beneath the layers. The apparatus according to the invention is intended, in particular, for the grading of table mouldings. The model described has a space requirement of 0.15 m<3>, weighs 20 kg and has a power consumption of 50 W for a capacity of 400 kg/h. <IMAGE>
