For the packaging of products, which are filled into tray-like containers (2), with a soft plastics film (4), a piece of film is placed around the container (2) and the film edges are folded over at the bottom. In order that as little pressure as possible is applied to the filled products (3) and the tray-like container (2) by the film (4), the film (4) is gathered at the side. This takes place by means of gathering elements (24-27) and subsequent clamping of the lateral film edges by clamping tongs (5). This gathering of the film means that it lies around the tray-like container (2) and the products filled therein with virtually no tension. <IMAGE>

Zum Verpacken von Produkten, die in schalenförmige Behälter (2) eingefüllt sind, mit einer weichen Kunststoff-Folie (4) wird ein Folienstück um den Behälter (2) gelegt und die Folienränder werden am Boden eingeschlagen. Damit auf die eingefüllten Produkte (3) und den schalenförmigen Behälter 82) durch die Folie (4) möglichst wenig Druck ausgeübt wird, wird die Folie (4) seitlich gerafft. Dies erfolgt durch Raffkörper (24-27) und anschliessende Klemmung der seitlichen Folienränder durch Klemmzangen (5). Durch diese Raffung der Folie legt sie sich praktisch spannungslos um den schalenförmigen Behälter (2) und um die in diesen eingefüllten Produkte.
