Reetentsprechendes Dacheindeckungselement, aus einer Vielzahl von etwa parallel neben- und ggf. übereinander angeordneten Kunststoffhalmen (1), bei dem die Halme (1) in ihrem oberen Endbereich abgeflacht und miteinander durch thermische Verschweißung verbunden sind, wobei die Verbindung einer Vielzahl der nebeneinander angeordneten Halme (1) durch thermische Verschweißung im Bereich ihrer nach dem Verlegen inneren Enden unter Abflachung und Verformung dieser Enden erfolgt ist und die Enden in ihrer Gesamtheit eine Platte (2) bilden.
