[origin: JPH01313875A] PURPOSE: To form an electrothermal element which can supply power several times as high in level as conventional power and has a wide range of use by installing a PTC element which meets the contact unit in the convexity in the state of non-press and has an inner wall with a larger radius of curvature than that of a contact board. CONSTITUTION: A heater element has a contact element in a PTC resistance element 14 and a mask 15 encircles contact boards 12, 13. A contact unit is inserted in a easing 2 having an insulation envelope 16. The casing 2 almost rectangular in shape has a cylinder shape section at narrow width sides 8, 9. The PTC element inserted between both contact boards 12 and 13 is put in a mask 15 consisting of an electric insulating material such as mica. Therefore, an vertical upward spring tension on cylinder-shaped narrow width sides 8, 9 can be absorbed considerably easily. Moreover, the best constancy of the heat output cormection is obtained, and, as a result, efficiency is maintained for a long term. Thus, a high heat output and its effective supply are performed.

Es wird ein elektrisches Heizelement vorgeschlagen, das eine aus mindestens einem PTC-Element und auf diesem beidseitig aufliegenden Kontaktplatten gebildete Kontakteinheit und ein Gehäuse aufweist, wobei zur Gewährleistung eines guten Kontaktdrucks beim Enderzeugnis in unverpreßtem Zustand des Heizelements die Kontaktplatten (12,13) gekrümmt sind und mit ihrer konvexen Seite auf den PTC-Elementen (14) aufliegen, das Gehäuse (2) aus formstabilem Leichtmetall besteht und in unverpreßtem Zustand eine der Kontaktanordnung (12,13,14) konvex zugewandte Innenwandung (17,18) mit einem endlichen Krümmungsradius (r1) aufweist, der größer ist als der Krümmungsradius (r2) der Kontaktplatten (12,13).
