Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0340663A2] Enantiomers of 2-arylpropionic acids are obtained by reaction of a racemic mixture thereof with an amine enantiomer by converting the racemate of 2-arylpropionic acid into the diastereomeric salts using an optically active form of threo-1-p-nitrophenyl-2-aminopropane- 1,3-diol, separating these salts and converting the pure diastereomers thus obtained into the free acids of the enantiomeric forms of 2-arylpropionic acid or salts thereof.
