Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0340810A2] A section (10) permitting securing to walls, which serves to form a shadow gap (24) and/or a lighting groove (40) and also to receive the edges of lining panels or plaster bases. The section (10) has a first section part (12), which is to be attached to the wall, and a second section part (14), which extends at right angles thereto and receives the edges of lining panels or plaster bases. Projecting downwards from the second section part is a first rib (18, 18', 46), thereby forming, between it and the wall plaster, the shadow gap (24) or lighting groove (40). The edges of the lining panels or plaster bases are fastened to the second section part (14) outside the first rib (18, 18') (seen from the wall). The shadow gap (24) can also be provided between the first rib (46) and the outer edge of a wooden ceiling (30). The section can have, between the first rib and the side bearing on the wall, a further rib (35, 35') of greater height, which specifies the thickness of a plaster layer in relation to the wall. The section (10) can have a transition portion (63) which leaves open a space and permits the section parts to move relative to one another, thereby preventing the formation of cracks in the plaster. <IMAGE>
