Abstract (en)
A locking furniture for a door, window or the like with sliding wings (5) is composed of: - a base (2) surface-mounted on the front upright (4) of the wing (5); - a handle (6) movable in rotation and equipped with a locking member (7) intended for interacting with a keeper (8) or equivalent fixed to the frame (9); - means (25) for the elastic return of the movable handle (6) to the locking position, - and a device (30) for blocking the latter in the released position. To improve the efficiency and reliability of this locking furniture and, especially, of its blocking device (30), the latter consists of means (33) making it possible to shift the pivot axis (17) of the movable handle (6) during the manipulation of the locking furniture (1), in order to change the direction of rotation of said movable handle (6) under the action of the elastic return means (25). <IMAGE>
