[origin: EP0341184A2] A cleaner for machined workpieces incorporates containers (7,8) of a cleaning fluid in which the workpieces (22) are plunged. The workpieces are fed into the containers by supporting frames (1,2), which plunge them successively into the containers and lift them out again. Each of the containers has a side aperture, and a hollow shell which surrounds the supporting frame and has its own aperture and can perform a reciprocating motion. During loading/unloading the shell is moved towards the side aperture in the container, and the aperture is sealed between operations.
