[origin: WO8804218A1] An axially compact eccentric grinder is provided with a rotatably-driven eccentric (15) and grinding plate (16) rotatably supported in said eccentric (15), said plate being movable in rotation around its rotation axis in one or other direction by means of live rings (26, 27) rigidly linked with the grinding plate (16) and rolling rings (30, 31) arranged on the grinding housing (10). The choice of rotation direction is determined by a manual switching system (38). For this, the rolling rings (30, 31) are held in a rotatably movable manner on the grinding housing (10) and are in permanent mesh with the live rings (25, 26) fixed to the grinding plate (16). By means of the switching system (38) one of the rolling rings (30, 31) can be non-rotatably secured as desired on the grinding housing (10), whereby a rolling movement of the grinding disc (16) is produced on the relevant secured rolling ring (30, 31) or both rolling rings (30, 31) are released for free rotary movement.

L'appareil de meulage d'encombrement axial réduit comprend un excentrique entraîné (15) et un support de disque tournant (16) qui peut tourner dans l'une ou l'autre direction de rotation par l'intermédiaire de couronnes (26, 27) fixées rigidement au support (16) et de couronnes (30, 31) portées par le boîtier (10), afin de moduler l'effet de meulage. La direction de rotation est commandée par un commutateur manuel (38). A cet effet, les couronnes (30, 31) peuvent tourner par rapport au boîtier (10) et engrènent constamment avec les couronnes (25, 26) fixées au support (10). Le commutateur (38) permet d'immobiliser à choix l'une des couronnes (30, 31) sur le boîtier (10) de façon que le support (16) roule sur la couronne immobilisée, ou de libérer les deux couronnes (30, 31) pour les faire tourner librement.
