Abstract (en)
A static convergence assembly (10) includes a collar (22) adapted to encircle the neck (11) of a cathode ray tube (CRT) (12). A number of extensions (27-29) project radially outwardly from the collar (22) along selected radii of the CRT neck (11) and individually carry elongate stems (30-32) mounted for longitudinal and rotational movement therealong. A permanent magnet (38-40), carried at the end of each stem (30-32) nearest the CRT neck (11), develops a beam deflecting magnetic field within the CRT. The rotational and longitudinal position of each stem can be adjusted to adjust the orientation and strength of each magnetic field to alter the deflection of each beam as required to achieve static convergence.
