A switching device (10) is proposed, having an operating device (11) for manually bringing into operation, in a time-limited manner, electrical devices in motor vehicles, especially an electrically heated rear window. The switching device (10) comprises a time- switching device (12) which can be switched on directly by means of the operating device (11) and is spatially connected thereto, and which switches on the electrical device (13) for a time interval which can be predetermined after operation by the operating device (11).

Es wird eine Schalteinrichtung (10) mit einem Betätigungsorgan (11) zum manuellen zeitlich begrenzten in Betrieb setzen von elektrischen Einrichtungen in Kraftfahrzeugen, insbesondere von einer elektrisch beheizbaren Heckscheibe, vorgeschlagen. Die Schalteinrichtung (10) umfaßt eine unmittelbar mit dem Betätigungsorgan (11) einschaltbare und mit ihm räumlich in Verbindung stehende Zeitschalteinrichtung (12), die nach Betätigung durch das Betätigungsorgan (11) die elektrische Einrichtung (13) ein vorbestimmbares Zeitintervall lang einschaltet.
