Solid bowl screw conveyor centrifuge for the separation of a suspension, for the feeding of which from a fixed charging point outside the centrifuge into the separating space (3) of the centrifuge, formed between the screw (2) and the bowl (1), a fixed-in-place inlet pipe (31) is provided, which is designed to prevent clogging caused by the centrifugal force and malfunctions caused by radial oscillation and to allow low-maintenance operation by this inlet pipe extending into an inlet space (32) of the screw (2) and being supported in its end region (34) there on a part (35, 36), fixed to the screw, by means of a sliding bearing (12), the two bearing shells (14, 15) of which consist of a ceramic material in the area of sliding engagement. <IMAGE>

Vollmantel-Schneckenzentrifuge für die Trennung eines Suspension, für deren Zuführung von einer ortsfesten Eingabestelle außerhalb der Zentrifuge in den zwischen der Schnecke (2) und dem Mantel (1) gebildeten Trennraum (3) der Zentrifuge ein ortsfest gehaltenes Einlaufrohr (31) vorgesehen ist, das für eine Verhinderung fliehkraftbedingeter Verstopfungen, radialschwingungsbedingter Störungen und wartungsarmer Betriebsweise derart ausgestaltet ist, daß sich dieses Einlaufrohr bis in einen Einlaufraum (32) der Schnecke (2) erstreckt und in seinem dortigen Endbereich (34) an einem schneckenfesten Teil (35, 36) über ein Gleitlager (12) abstützt, dessen beide Lagerschalen (14, 15) im Gleitangriffsbereich aus einem keramischen Werkstoff bestehen.
