[origin: EP0341506A2] An apparatus for perforating paper tubes formed on a paper tube machine possesses a perforating cutter (1) which is driven in rotation at a distance about an axis of rotation and co-operates with a counter-roller (4). Using a slider-crank mechanism (5, 6, 7, 8, 8a, 9, 10, 13), the sequence of motion of the perforating cutter (1), i.e. the rotational speed at the moment of perforation, can be adjusted. Moreover, the distance between the perforating cutter (1) and its axis of rotation (2), as well as the bearing of the counter-roller (4) can be adjusted by the same amounts in each case. Such an apparatus produces an extremely large total adjustment range. <IMAGE>
