[origin: EP0341677A2] Braiding machine with two oppositely directed bobbin rotation discs (11, 20), the first bobbins (30) being fastened to their bobbin rotation disc (11), whilst the second bobbin rotation discs (50) are merely taken up by their bobbin rotation disc (20). The connection is made via plates (55) and bearing supports (53) which are additionally supported via a carrier device (12, 70). In order to guide the braiding threads (31) of the first bobbins (30) past the second bobbins (50), the plate (55) and the carrier device (12, 70) each have a slot (55, 12a, 72a), and when a braiding thread (31) meets these they move in its direction of movement and thus allow the braiding thread (31) to pass through underneath the respective second bobbin (50). <IMAGE>
