Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH01320186A] PURPOSE: To achieve the simplification of an apparatus and the enhancement of display accuracy by providing an elastic tape extending in a feed direction and protruding into the space between two guide plates at an expanded part and supported so that the first part thereof is fixed and the terminal part thereof is supported in a slidable manner and providing an immovably supported electrical sensor energized by the terminal part when the tape is moved. CONSTITUTION: A tape 18 is stretched by paper 13 entering at an angle 24 and a sensor 19 is energized by the predetermined deflection of the terminal part of the tape and, as a result, for example, switching operation is started. The sensor 19 and the terminal part 18b of the tape are mutually arranged so that energization is always generated by the same deflection of the terminal part 18b of the tape within a certain predetermined apparatus. When the paper 13 is further fed after the sensor 19 is energized, a step having to further feed the paper is counted until the paper reaches a first printing position. This paper passage is counted individually as many feed steps to each device (printer) to be stored in a printer program as a constant. By this method, the total accumulation of a common difference is removed.
