In a device for mounting a roll ring (3) on the freely projecting end (2) of an over-mounted roll shaft (1), the roll ring (3) is braced axially between two pressure rings (11, 12). In order to ensure an adequate transmission of torque without exceeding the permissible axial pressure loading of the roll ring (3), a friction ring (24) is provided between the roll ring (3) and one of the two pressure rings (11, 12), the pressure ring (12) on the friction-ring side being seated fixedly in terms of rotation on the roll shaft (1) via a multi-groove connection (25).

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Befestigen eines Walzringes (3) auf dem frei vorragenden Ende (2) einer fliegend gelagerten Walzenwelle (1) wird der Walzring (3) zwischen zwei Druckringen (11, 12) axial eingespannt. Um eine ausreichende Drehmomentübertragung ohne eine Überschreitung der zulässigen axialen Druckbeanspruchung des Walzringes (3) sicherzustellen, ist zwischen dem Walzring (3) und einem der beiden Druckringe (11, 12) ein Reibring (24) vorgesehen, wobei der reibringseitige Druckring (12) auf der Walzenwelle (1) über eine Vielnutverbindung (25) drehfest sitzt.
