A device for melting high polymer, thermoplastic materials, in particular adhesives, having a sealed reservoir for a particle-shaped output material, having a transport device for conveying the output material from the reservoir through the outlets of a heatable melting device into a collecting chamber, and having an outlet orifice in the collecting chamber for feeding the molten material for the purpose of further processing, has a melting device which is constructed as a separate, removable melting unit with a multiplicity of passages running in the flowing direction of the material; and the collecting chamber also running in the flow direction of the material and having the outlet orifice also lying in the flow direction adjoins the melting unit. <IMAGE>

Eine Vorrichtung zum Aufschmelzen von hochpolymeren, thermoplastischen Werkstoffen, insbesondere Klebstoffen, mit einem abgedichteten Vorratsbehälter für den partikelförmigen Ausgangs-Werkstoff, mit einer Transporteinrichtung zur Förderung des Ausgangs-Werkstoffes aus dem Vorratsbehälter durch die Durchlässe einer heizbaren Schmelzvorrichtung in eine Sammelkammer, und mit einer Auslaßöffnung in der Sammelkammer für die Zuführung des aufgeschmolzenen Werkstoffes zur weiteren Verarbeitung weist eine Schmelzvorrichtung auf, die als getrennte, herausnehmbare Schmelzeinheit mit einer Vielzahl von in Fließrichtung des Werkstoffes verlaufenden Durchlässen ausgebildet ist; und an die Schmelzeinheit schließt sich die ebenfalls in Fließrichtung des Werkstoffes verlaufende Sammelkammer mit der ebenfalls in Fließrichtung liegenden Auslaßöffnung an.
