[origin: EP0342334A2] A so-called H2 filament lamp is inserted into the socket and secured by means of a wire spring. The wire spring is bent in a Z shape viewed perpendicularly to the plane of the base contacts. The central web of the Z shape rests with pretensioning between the base contacts against the filament lamp and extends in the direction of the filament lamp central axis at an acute angle, opening towards the base plate, with respect to the plane of the base contacts. In the non-tensioned state of the wire spring, the web is at a larger acute angle with respect to the plane of the base contacts than when the wire spring is hooked in. In such a socket, the pressure force of the wire spring against the filament lamp is very large without the wire spring having to be hooked in with a very large exertion force. However, when the filament lamp is incorrectly inserted, the force which is necessary to hook in the wire spring increases noticeably. <IMAGE>
