[origin: EP0342335A2] Process for engobing or glazing of roof tiles which, placed upon a ceramic substrate, are dried and fired, the roof tiles being engobed or glazed after drying while remaining on their substrate, by covering them with a screen having a cut-out which is smaller than the surface area of the tile to such an extent that the substrate is screened from the engobing or glazing jet, but the roof tile is glazed or engobed with clean edges. <IMAGE>
