[origin: EP0342343A2] Roll hearth heat-treating furnace, especially one suitable for small metal and ceramic parts. <??>The exchange of rolls, which are mounted in the side walls, leads to difficulties in known roll hearth heat-treating furnace constructions in the case of narrow separation. Due to the carrying capacity, the roll diameter cannot be selected as small as required either. <??>It is thus envisaged that the roll bed be constructed of roll table components which each consist of a number of rolls with very small diameters and of two bearing beams which receive the ends of these rolls. By means of this arrangement, the bearing of the rolls is independent of the side walls, because the rolls are received in separate bearing beams which, together with the rolls, form modular elements for the production of the roll bed. <??>Use for roll hearth heat-treating furnaces for the treatment of small parts. <IMAGE>
