An arrangement for diminishing the noise level within a motor vehicle comprises at least one noise sensor, at least one loudspeaker and a control device which receives the output signal of the noise sensor as an actual variable and issues an actuating signal which is fed to the loudspeaker. In order to achieve over a large frequency range an effective noise reduction which is stable with respect to changes of the acoustic transmission characteristics within the vehicle, according to the invention a microphone is mounted in a Helmholtz resonator as noise sensor and the loudspeaker or loudspeakers are arranged near to the places of maximum sound pressure of the motor vehicle cavity natural frequencies to be damped.

Eine Anordnung zur Verminderung des Geräuschpegels im Innenraum eines Kraftfahrzeuges umfaßt mindestens einen Geräuschsensor, mindestens einen Lautsprecher und eine Regeleinrichtung, die als Istgröße das Ausgangssignal des Geräuschsensors erhält und ein den Lautsprecher beaufschlagendes Stellsignal abgibt. Um eine wirksame und gegenüber Veränderungen des akustischen Übertragungsverhaltens des Innenraumes stabile Geräuschminderung über einen großen Frequenzbereich zu erzielen, ist erfindungsgemäß als Geräuschsensor ein in einem Helmholtz-Resonator untergebrachtes Mikrofon verwendet, und der oder die Lautsprecher sind nahe den Orten maximalen Schalldruckes von zu dämpfendem Hohlraumeigenfrequenzen des Kraftfahrzeuges angeordnet.
