Large-volume carton packages are customarily constructed in such a way that two walls located opposite each other (bottom wall 19, top wall 20) are formed from folding flaps (15..18) overlapping one another. The folding flaps are joined together by bonding. Additionally, an adhesive strip (51) can be attached in the region of a separation joint (25) between the abutting outer flaps (17, 18). The joining-together of the folding flaps or the arrangement of the adhesive strip (51) can be defective. <??>For checking the carton package (10) with regard to correct construction, pressure is exerted on the walls formed from folding flaps (bottom wall 19, top wall 20) in such a way that any inadequate joining leads to the relevant wall springing open. The change in shape of the carton package (10) is detected by sensors, in particular by photosensors (87, 88). <??>Any defective packages are separated from the conveyed line, repaired and returned to the line once more. <IMAGE>

Großvolumige Karton-Packungen sind üblicherweise so aufgebaut, daß zwei einander gegenüberliegende Wandungen (Boden-Wandung 19, Deck-Wandung 20) aus einander überdeckenden Faltlappen (15..18) gebildet sind. Die Faltlappen sind durch Klebung miteinander verbunden. Darüber hinaus kann im Bereich einer Trennfuge (25) zwischen den aneinanderstoßenden Außenlappen (17, 18) ein Klebestreifen (51) angebracht sein. Die Verbindung der Faltlappen miteinander bzw. die Anordnung des Klebestreifens (51) können fehlerhaft sein. Zur Überprüfung der Karton-Packung (10) in bezug auf korrekte Ausbildung wird Druck ausgeübt auf die aus Faltlappen gebildeten Wandungen (Boden-Wandung 19, Deck-Wandung 20), derart, daß etwaige unzulängliche Verbindungen zu einem Aufspringen der betreffenden Wandungen führen. Die Gestaltänderung der Karton packung (10) wird durch Sensoren, insbesondere durch Fotosensoren (87, 88) festgestellt. Etwaige Fehl-Packungen werden aus dem Förderfluß ausgesondert, in Ordnung gebracht und wieder in den Fluß zurückgegeben.
