Abstract (en)
A particulate antifoam ingredient, suitable for incorporation into a detergent powder composition, comprises silicone oil, optionally together with other antifoam compounds, sorbed into a porous particulate carrier material soluble or disintegratable in water and having a particularly high proportion of pores of diameter <0.5 microns. A preferred porous carrier material is sodium perborate monohydrate.
