Coupling articulation between two railway vehicles resting on a central bogie. <??>It comprises A) a toroidal piece (1) connected to one of the vehicles, frustoconical in its lower zone and cylindrical in its upper zone, with a cylindrical bore at its centre and a shoulder around the top of the latter; B) a support piece connected to the other vehicle, surrounding the toroidal piece, comprising a base (9), a toroidal articulation element made from a resilient composite material, a cylindrical shaft (17) fixed to the base, engaged in the bore of the toroidal piece and terminating in a horizontal shoulder, and an inner cylindrical part (20) opposite the cylindrical outer surface (3) of the toroidal piece. <IMAGE>
