Um bei einem Falzapparat zur Verarbeitung von zwei nebeneinander einlaufenden Bahnen (1, 2) mit wenigstens einem Schaufelrad (5), das mehrere, durch Führungsscheiben begrenzte Gefache (7) am Umfang aufweist, sicherzustellen, daß auch im Falle einer unterschiedlichen Verarbeitung der beiden Bahnen (1, 2) alle diesen zugeordneten Gefache belegt werden, ist das Schaufelrad (5) in eine der Anzahl der nebeneinander verarbeitbaren Bahnen (1, 2) entsprechende Anzahl seitlich aneinander anschließender, durch zugeordnete Antriebseinrichtungen (9) unabhängig voneinander antreibbarer Schaufelradabschnitte (5 a, b) unterteilt.
