A device for automatic book binding of sole and limited editions consists of a receiving station, in which the data required for binding are prepared and stored, a book-block finishing station, in which the separation notching and gluing as well as trimming of the book-block are undertaken, a sleeve station, in which the binding cover is reinforced by a reco-sleeve, a cover finishing station, in which the covers are finished exactly in-register with the block based on the data supplied in the receiving station, a casing-in lane, in which the pitch of the book-block is set and the book-block is bonded to the binding cover, and a rounding station, in which the book-block is pressed into the binding cover and rounded using the pitch. The processing operations for the production of the book-block and the binding cover as well as the joining of the book-block and the binding cover are carried out under computer control. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Eine Anlage zum vollautomatischen Buchbinden von Unikaten und Kleinserien besteht aus einer Annahmestation in der die für das Binden erforderlichen Daten erstellt und gespeichert werden, einer Buchblock-Fertigungsstation, in der das Trennkerben und Beleimen sowie Beschneiden des Buchblockes vorgenommen wird, einer Hülsenstation, in der die Einbanddecke mit einer Reco-Hülse verstärkt wird, einer Deckenfertigungsstation, in der aufgrund der in der Annahmestation bereitgestellten Daten die Decken paßgenau zum Block gefertigt werden, einer Einhängestraße, in der die Steigung des Buchblockes eingestellt und der Buchblock mit der Einbanddecke verbunden wird, und einer Rundungsstation, in der der Buchblock in die Einbanddecke gepreßt und unter Verbrauch der Steigung gerundet wird. Die Bearbeitungsvorgänge für die Herstellung des Buchblockes und der Einbanddecke sowie das Zusammenführen von Buchblock und Einbanddecke werden rechnergesteuert ausgeführt.
