The basket for largely round loaves of bread - preferably freshly baked and warm loaves - is characterised by a substantially rectangular, perforated floor (2) having perforated side walls (4, 6) which project above the height of the loaf of bread and by partition walls (8) rising from the floor to a lesser height than the loaf of bread which define receiving compartments (10, 12, 14, 16, 18) for the loaf of bread, provided with widened portions (20) for gripping. <IMAGE>

Der Korb zur Aufnahme von - vorzugsweise frisch gebackenen, heißen - weitgehend runden Brotlaiben, ist gekennzeichnet durch einen im wesentlichen rechteckigen durchbrochenen Boden (2) mit bis über die Höhe der Brotlaibe ragenden, durchbrochenen Seitenwänden (4, 6) und durch von dem Boden ausgehende Trennwände (8) von niedrigerer Höhe als die Brotlaibe, die mit Grifferweiterungen (20) versehene Aufnahmeabteile (10, 12, 14, 16, 18) für die Brotlaibe begrenzen.
