Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing shoes, of the type consisting in fitting an upper, possibly fitted with a lining, onto a rigid last, in optionally equipping the upper with a toe case or with a metal shell, in assembling a lasting sole with the said upper during a lasting operation, and in fixing a wear sole to the said lasting sole. The method according to the invention is characterised in that for the lasting operation, the upper (1), cut without a lasting fold, is placed on a rigid last (2), the lasting insole (4) is arranged on the sole (3) of the said rigid last (2), the front of the upper (1) is drawn over the said rigid last (2) by means of a toe-forming die (5), and the said die (5) is held clamped in the toe-forming position, the rear of the upper (1) is shaped by means of a heel-forming die (7) held clamped, the rear part of the upper (1), clamped by the heel-forming die (7), is heated, the sides of the upper (1) are applied against the rigid last (2) by means of lateral lasting blades (9, 10) such that the upper (1) perfectly matches the contours of the last (2) and such that the edges of the upper (1) are applied against the flange of the lasting insole (4), and the lasting insole (4) is assembled with the adjacent edge of the upper (1). <IMAGE>
