A shower cubicle consists of a wall (2, 3, 4) surrounding the shower region (1). Formed in the wall (3, 4) is a vertical hollow column which is open over a region of approximately 90 to 120 DEG of its circumference to form an inlet and an outlet, one of the wall edges bounding the opening in the hollow column being extended in such a way that it moves constantly further away from the centre of the hollow column in the course of the extension until its outer end overlaps the respective other wall edge. By this means, closure elements as a guard against sprayed water on doors or the like can be omitted in the inlet and the outlet. <IMAGE>

Eine Duschkabine besteht aus einer den Duschbereich (1) umgebenden Wand (2, 3, 4). Aus der Wand (3, 4) ist eine stehende Hohlsäule gebildet, die zur Bildung eines Eintritts und Austritts über einen Bereich von etwa 90 bis 120° ihres Umfangs offen ist, wobei eine der die Öffnung in der Hohlsäule begrenzenden Wandkanten derart verlängert ist, daß sie sich im Verlauf der Verlängerung vom Zentrum der Hohlsäule ständig weiter entfernt, bis ihr äußeres Ende die jeweils andere Wandkante überlappt. Dadurch kann auf Türen oder dergleichen Verschlußelemente als Spritzwasserschutz im Eintritt und Austritt verzichtet werden.
