Abstract (en)
The individual fibres of the inorganic yarn are in particular glass fibres, carbon fibres or metal fibres. Customarily, the fibres of the inorganic yarn are wrapped in another yarn, in particular a thermoplastic yarn, to form a composite yarn. This prior art method is very expensive. The invention, then, provides that the fibres of the inorganic yarn are passed together with the tensionless bundle of adjacent thermoplastic fibres through the intermingling zone of a gas jet for conjoint intermingling. The adjacent fibres interpenetrate the main fibre bundle. By means of subsequent softening and melting of the adjacent-fibre bundle the fibres of the main fibre bundle are bonded together to form a compact yarn. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Fasern des anorganischen Fadens (2) werden gemeinsam mit einem ungespannten Begleitfaserbündel (7) aus thermoplastischen Fasern durch die Verwirbelungszone einer Gasdüse (10) geführt und miteinander verblasen. Die Begleitfasern durchdringen das Hauptfaserbündel. Durch anschließende Erweichung und Aufschmelzung des Begleitfaserbündels in dem Herzrohr (16) werden die Fasern des Hauptfaserbündels miteinander zu einem kompakten Faden verbunden.
