[origin: EP0344826A2] A hand tool having an elongate, handle-shaped tool body (10) has at one end an active part with two jaw carriers (13A, 13B) provided for receiving stamping elements (15A, 15B), of which the one (13A) is arranged rigidly and the other (13B) slidingly and is connected by means of a rigid drive rod (16) to an actuating lever (12) coupled at the other end (11B) of the tool body (11) by means of a coupling pin (11C). The tool is particularly suitable for crimping cable lugs and the like to electrical conductors. <IMAGE>
