[origin: EP0345516A2] In order to permit a simplified construction and a more economical loading in a centrifuge for separating mixtures of fluids and solid particles, in particular plastic granules, having a centrifugal drum which widens towards its upper end serving for the discharge of the particles, which drum comprises a filter part and a buffer ring part, the buffer ring part being arranged adjacent to the discharge end and the filter part adjacent to the lower end of the centrifugal drum, having a drive device and a feed device for the mixtures, it is proposed that the centrifugal drum is mounted in a suspended fashion, and that an opening for the feeding in of the mixtures is provided at its lower end. <IMAGE>
