Abstract (en)
Cold smelt crucible for the smelting of small quantites of metal in suspension. It consists of an upper crucible forming the crucible dish by means of appropriately shaped wall segments (1) and of a base part (2). There extend in the wall segments cooling channels (7), into which the feed lines (8) for the coolant are introduced from below. The invention relates, furthermore, to a process for constructing it. According to the invention, the wall segments (1) are made by individual production. Furthermore, the individual wall segments are each connected by soldering to one of the discharge pipes projecting from the base part. The discharge pipes serve at the same time as a connection part between the upper part and the base part (2). <IMAGE>

Kalt-Schmelz-Tiegel zum Schmelzen kleiner Metallmengen in der Schwebe. Er besteht aus einem oberen, die Tiegelmulde durch entsprechend geformte Wandsegmente (1) bildenden Tiegel und einem Basisteil (2). Dabei laufen in den Wandsegmenten Kühlkanäle (7), in die von unten die Zuführungsleitungen (8) für das Kühlmittel eingebracht sind. Die Erfindung bezieht sich ferner auf ein Verfahren zu seiner Herstellung. Erfindungsgemäß werden die Wandsegmente (1) in Einzelanfertigung hergestellt. Außerdem werden die Einzelwandsegmente jeweils mit einem der Ableitungsrohre, die aus dem Basisteil herausragen, durch Löten verbunden. Dabei dienen die Ableitungsrohre als Verbindungsteil zwischen dem oberen Teil und dem Basisteil (2).
