[origin: EP0346286A2] The safety bed (1) consists of a hammock (2) and a frame (4), the two ends of the hammock (2) being hooked onto the ends (3', 3'') of a bending beam (3', 3'', 3''') of the frame (4) in such a way that overloading of the bending beam (3', 3'', 3'''), which would lead to the permanent deformation or destruction of the latter, is prevented by the hammock (2) touching the ground. Additionally, the transversal oscillating movement of the hammock (2) is limited by the latter touching the legs (5', 5'') of the frame (4), thus preventing the safety bed (1) from tipping over. <IMAGE>
