[origin: US4967898A] The conveyor apparatus is connecting a cutter, by means of which sheet metal blanks are produced in adjacent rows, to the magazine of a can welding apparatus which produces from the sheet metal blanks can bodies. A row of adjacently arranged depositing receptacles for receipt of at least one sheet metal blank each is located along the cutter on a frame. Two conveyor chains having dogs move along the depositing receptacles of which each presents a bottom surface which rises in the direction of transport such that the dogs push the sheet metal blanks from one to the next depositing receptacle and accordingly collect the sheet metal blanks out of all depositing receptacles such to form a pile at the end. Such pile is taken over at the end of the path of transport of the conveyer chains by a further conveyer means in form of elastically supported pawls. These pawls push the pile on a slanted rising slideway in a timed fashion by a certain span of the path of transport and are moved oscillatingly and are pressed under the pile during their reverse movement. By means of the pawls the staple is moved into a turn-over apparatus which includes two disk wheels which move rotatingly in slots in the slideway after a respective pile of sheet metal blanks has been pushed into radially extending slots in the two disk wheels. After a rotation of 180 DEG each pile has been turned over and is transported on the adjoining slideway by further pawls, of which a plurality is provided along the slideway, into the magazine. The turn-over apparatus is only facultatively present for the case that printed sheet metal blanks must be turned over.

Die Fördereinrichtung verbindet eine Schere (1), mit der Blechzuschnitte in Reihen nebeneinander hergestellt werden, mit dem Magazin (2) einer Dosenschweissmaschine (3) zur Herstellung von Dosenkörpern aus den Blechzuschnitten. Entlang der Schere (1) ist eine Reihe von nebeneinanderliegenden Ablagefächern (5) zur Aufnahme je mindestens eines Blechzuschnitts auf einem Gestell (6) angeordnet. Zwei Transportketten (10) mit Mitnahmefingern (11) bewegen sich entlang der Ablagefächer (5), die jeweils eine in Transportrichtung ansteigende Bodenfläche (5a) aufweisen, sodass die Mitnahmefinger (11) die Blechzuschnitte von einem in das nächstfolgende Ablagefach hinüberschieben und somit die Blechzuschnitte aus allen Ablagefächern sammeln, um am Ende einen Stapel zu bilden, der am Ende des Transportweges der Transportketten (10) von einem weiteren Transportmittel in Form von federnd abgestützten Klinken (17) übernommen wird. Diese schieben den Stapel auf einer schräg ansteigenden Gleitbahn (16) taktweise um eine bestimmte Wegstrecke weiter, werden oszillierend bewegt und beim Rückweg unter dem Stapel hindurch niedergedrückt. Der Stapel gelangt mit Hilfe der Klinken (17) in eine Wendevorrichtung (20), die zwei Scheibenräder (21) aufweist, welche sich in Schlitzen in der Gleitbahn (16) drehend bewegen, nachdem jeweils ein Blechzuschnitt-Stapel in radial verlaufende Schlitze (23) in den beiden Scheibenrädern (21) eingeschoben worden ist. Nach der Drehung um 180<o> ist jeder Stapel gewendet und wird auf der anschliessenden Gleitbahn (16) durch weitere entlang der Gleitbahn mehrfach vorhandenen Klinken (17) bis an das Ende der Gleitbahn und in das Magazin (2) gefördert. Die Wendevorrichtung (20) ist nur fakultativ für den Fall vorhanden, dass bedruckte Blechzuschnitte gewendet werden müssen.
