In a device for treating floors, having a housing 1 which can be moved on wheels 3, 4, 5, 6, an electric motor 2 being provided on the housing 1, which electric motor has a drive shaft, extending horizontally and transversely to the operating direction of the device, with a V-belt pulley 7 at the end of the shaft, and a fan 15 being provided inside the housing 1, which fan has a fan axle extending likewise transversely to the operating direction with a V-belt pulley 16 at the end of the fan axle, the arrangement is such that, for the removal of carpet remains and carpet adhesive remaining on a floor after separation of a carpet from said floor, a cylinder 8 having a cylindrical wire brush 9, arranged on the cylinder 8, is over-mounted on the housing 1 at the front and at the bottom on the same axle as the electric motor 2, a V-belt pulley 7 being provided at the end of the cylinder 8, the V-belt pulleys 7, 13, 16 being provided on the same vertical plane and a V-belt 14 being placed above the V-belt pulleys 7, 13, 16 as the drive belt (Figure 2). <IMAGE>

Bei einem Gerät zum Bearbeiten von Fußböden mit einem auf Rädern 3,4,5,6 verfahrbaren Gehäuse 1, wobei auf dem Gehäuse 1 ein Elektromotor 2 mit horizontal und quer zur Arbeitsrichtung des Gerätes verlaufenden Antriebswelle mit einer Keilriemenscheibe 7 am Ende der Welle vorgesehen ist und wobei innerhalb des Gehäuses 1 ein Gebläse 15 mit einer ebenfalls quer zur Arbeitsrichtung verlaufenden Gebläseachse mit einer Keilriemenscheibe 16 am Ende der Gebläseachse vorgesehen ist, ist die Anordnung so getroffen, daß zum Entfernen von nach dem Abtrennen eines Teppichs von einem Fußboden auf diesem verbliebenen Teppichresten und Teppichkleber am Gehäuse 1 vorn unten eine Walze 8 mit einer auf der Walze 8 angeordneten zylindrischen Drahtbürste 9 gleichachsig zum Elektromotor 2 fliegend gelagert ist, wobei am Ende der Walze 8 eine Keilriemenscheibe 7 vorgesehen ist, wobei die Keilriemenscheiben 7,13,16 in gleicher vertikaler Ebene vorgesehen sind und über die Keilriemenscheiben 7,13,16 ein Keilriemen 14 als Antriebsriemen gelegt ist (Figur 2).
