An energy accumulator is linked between the front and the rear seat support parts (12, 13). A seat plate (23) is supported on the two seat support parts (12, 13). Mounted on the rear seat support part (13) by means of a rigid backrest support is a backrest plate (40). Both are provided with a cushion (46). In order to produce by simple means a continuous seat shell which is inherently deformable, the backrest support is constructed by a yoke (36) having two arms (39) extending parallel to each other and projecting upwards, on which arms the backrest plate (40) is mounted.
