A device for applying a powdery or flocculent material to a substrate has a conveying device which conveys the powdery or flocculent material from a reservoir to an applicator, and supplies the applicator with a moveable sequence of receptacles for receiving the powdery or flocculent material; the powdery or flocculent material coming from the reservoir is sucked at one point of its movement into a receptacle and at another point of its movement is blown out of the receptacle and fed to a discharge orifice. <IMAGE>

Die Vorrichtung weist eine Transportvorrichtung, die das pulver- oder flockenförmige Material von einem Vorratsbehälter zu einem Applikator (18) fördert, und den Applikator (18) mit einer beweglichen Folge von Aufnahmebehältern (58,60) für die Aufnahme des pulver- oder flockenförmigen Materials auf; das von dem Vorratsbehälter kommende, pulver- oder flockenförmige Material wird an einer Stelle seiner Bewegung in einen Aufnahmebehälter (58, 60) gesaugt und an einer anderen Stelle seiner Bewegung aus dem Aufnahmebehälter herausgeblasen und einer Austragöffnung (46) zugeführt.
