Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0347592A1] The invention relates to a door latch device for electrical apparatuses with an insulating housing (1), with a plate-shaped blocking slide (11) guided longitudinally displaceably in its flat plane on the insulating housing (1) between a release position and a blocking position and intended for fixing a detent hook (9) of the door of the electrical apparatus, with a locking slide (33) guided longitudinally displaceably in the insulating housing (1) and intended for locking the blocking slide (11) in its blocking position, with at least one bimetal (36, 37), if appropriate heated externally, for the displacement drive of the locking slide (33) and activating further switch contacts (contact springs 42, 43) of the door latch device, and with a driver (19) guided longitudinally displaceably in the insulating housing (1), motionally coupled to the blocking slide (11) and intended for actuating a control contact (contact bridge 15, counter contacts 22). The blocking slide (11) can be locked in its blocking position indirectly as a result of the engagement of the locking slide (33) into the path of movement of the driver (19). The driver (19), for its motional coupling to the blocking slide (11), has a pin (18) which engages in a recess (cut-out 16) in the blocking slide (11) and which has a predetermined breaking point (51). <IMAGE>
