A sports shoe, in particular a tennis shoe, with, provided in the outsole region, wear-resistant parts for increasing the wear resistance of the sole material, is to be designed in such a manner that the resistance to abrasion of the outsole, in particular in the toe region or in other edge regions of the outsole, increases significantly and there is nevertheless maintained an adequate braking effect by means of the material of the outsole or of the outsole edge. This is achieved by forming or subsequently inserting into the outsole (2) in the upwardly drawn edge (3) of the toe region (4) of the outsole (2) pieces (7) made of one of the materials oxide ceramic, metal carbide, metal nitride or hard metal in such a manner that the surface (8) of the pieces (7) ends at least approximately flush with the edge surface (9) of the outsole (2). <IMAGE>

Ein Sportschuh, insbesondere Tennisschuh, mit im Laufsohlenbereich vorgesehenen verschleißfesten Teilen zur Erhöhung der Verschleißfestigkeit des Sohlenmaterials soll so ausgebildet werden, daß die Abriebfestigkeit der Laufsohle, insbesondere im Spitzenbereich oder in sonstigen Randbereichen der Laufsohle deutlich erhöht und trotzdem eine ausreichende Bremswirkung durch das Material der Laufsohle bzw. des Laufsohlenrandes erhalten bleibt. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß im nach oben gezogenen Rand (3) des Spitzenbereichs (4) der Laufsohle (2) Teile (7) aus einem der Materialien Oxydkeramid, Metallkarbid, Metallnitrid oder Hartmetall derart in die Laufsohle (2) eingeformt oder nachträglich eingesetzt sind, daß die Oberfläche (8) der Teile (7) wenigstens annähernd mit der Randoberfläche (9) der Laufsohle (2) bündig abschließt.
